Poser Debut also includes lots of clothing, props to build scenes, cameras, lights and pre-built poses that can be dropped right onto your characters. Once again we're working with MS for a fix. And Poser Debuts library includes dozens of ready to pose 3D characters from cute cartoon characters and animals to robots and accurate photo-realistic humans. Mac HD > Users > (username) > Library > Application Support > Poser Pro > 10 Edit the INI file with a text editor (notepad). To do this you will have to edit the Poser INI file (Poser Prefs on Mac). If you have Poser Pro 2014 you can switch to the external library.

Go to & download the 'Download Manager' (you will need your Poser Debut serial number and Smith Micro user name and password register if you haven't already) 2. But there IS a solution if you follow these steps: 1. So you all know Smith Micro is in contact with Microsoft on this issue. First of all, this will NOT work with Windows 10 (or, I suspect, Windows 8.1) - the program crashes upon start.
Unfortunately the fix he cites works only on PP2014, not Poser 10. Léditeur a rassuré tout le monde : la mise à jour sera gratuite. I guess eventually Smith Micro need to replace Adobe Air with another UI for a URL browser for Poser's content library management.Charles Taylor (nerd3d), the Poser Product Manager posted this over at R'osity.

I've got the update and made sure permissions were cleared for Poser and I still get that damned failure to open library have tried all the hints and tips on the page including the change to the Library external settings in the Poser ini and still get a blank with that failure notification and a note in the upper right stating Communication failure with server? Someone please tell me how to solve this damn issue. I admit I've getting very VERY angry with things right now.Īttached a screen to show exactly what it looks like. I've gone through the contents of several help forums about 'Missing Library' and 'Library not working' but none of them have provided a solution. I got past the loading screen, but, as soon as the actual GUI was loading, 'the Poser 10 executable fille stopped working.
Everything was working fine until yesterday, when I tried to open Poser. Works on Windows 7, XP, Vista, 8, 8.1, 10 & 11. I have Poser 10 with the latest SR 5.2 installed on my Windows 10 machine.
If you will be using Debut at home, you can download the free version here. This is a brand new PC, I've installed all the latest Flash apps, Adobe Air because someone said that could fix it (it didn't obviously) and reinstalled Poser, IE11 and the Flash apps multiple times. A free version of Debut is available for non-commercial use only. I can drag it around, open it, close it, but thats all. When I undock it, it looks a tad like a seach box atop an empty white box, with a grey box with an 'close tab' X icon. When I click the icon (Books on a shelf I guess is meant to indicate a library?) what happens is a white box will appear.
Okay, so got Poser 11 installed onto my secondary drive (Primary is a SSD, dont want waste space) but I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong with the library.
